Durable natural stone tile has been used for centuries as a quality finish in buildings. Stone is used in a variety of applications from rustic cabins to minimalist modern interiors and can be specified in many sizes, shapes and colors. From sedimentary to metamorphic, this presentation reviews the differences between sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic stone products including the differences between travertine and marble. An overview of numerous finishes, installations and appropriate maintenance techniques will provide information on how to select the right stone for any surface.
